Prohibited products and claims

1. Products you must not list

• Medicines, including prescription drugs, and any item that needs a licence under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
• AYUSH medicines that need their own licence. A food or FSSAI licence is not that licence.
• Alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, and vaping products.
• Live animals, and slaughter, unless your licence covers it and MyPeki has agreed in writing. We do not list live slaughter.
• Raw meat, raw poultry, or raw fish from a home kitchen on a petty or home-kitchen FSSAI registration. Those products need a commercial meat or fish authorisation and are listed only by a fresh and frozen shop that holds it.
• Expired food, or food we have asked you to recall.
• Anything your FSSAI registration or licence does not cover.

2. Claims you must not make

• That a product treats, cures, or prevents a disease, including immunity, weight-loss, or “diabetes-friendly” claims, unless the FSSAI advertising and claims rules allow that exact claim for that food.
• “Organic”, unless the product has a current Jaivik Bharat, NPOP, or PGS-India certificate and the listing shows that reference.
• “Fresh” for food that is thawed or was previously frozen. Say chilled, frozen, or thawed instead.
• “Antibiotic-free”, “hormone-free”, “chemical-free”, or similar, unless you can show the basis on request.
• A halal, jhatka, or other slaughter description unless it is true for that product.

3. Packed goods

Do not sell a packed product above its MRP. Do not hide net quantity, expiry, or the country of origin where the law requires them. Loose unlabelled oil or masala must not be listed as a packed product.

4. What we do

We may refuse a listing, remove it, suspend the seller, and refund Buyers. The seller bears that refund. Report a listing to care@mypeki.com with the subject Prohibited product.
